Job Function

To provide support to the marketing activities of the business, including the preparation of monthly reports, researching and submitting links for client websites, providing support for other staff members and helping maintain the office systems.

Reports to

The Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

1. to use various software applications to check and prepare reports on the search engine rankings and website traffic of clients' websites
2. to prepare monthly summary reports on advertising campaigns at the start of each month (Microsoft Excel format) and to summarise trends compared to the previous month
3. to provide assistance to the Marketing Director and Web Marketing Specialists in setting up and managing search engine marketing and advertising campaigns.
4. to help implement link building campaigns, including the research of potential link sites and submitting details of client sites for possible links, plus regular tracking and reporting on progress
5. to compile and prepare information reports required by the business, or to research new business opportunities as appropriate
6. to identify changes or trends in the search engine market and to report to the team
7. to maintain client information and office files

Job status and salary

This is a part time position requiring 20 hours a week. Working times can be agreed, although attendance is required at least 4 days a week.

The starting salary is £13,440 FTE, to be reviewed after 6 months and then annually thereafter. There is also a profit sharing scheme and company pension scheme offered after a qualifying period.

Skills and experience required

The suitable candidate will ideally display the following attributes:

• a close attention to detail is essential, from writing e-mails to preparing detailed client reports, in order to present the best possible image of the business
• trustworthy and reliable, as well as being well organised and able to plan and prioritise various tasks.
• experience of working in a marketing environment would be preferred, but is not essential
• the candidate must be computer literate and confident when using different computer programs and the Internet
• a positive outlook and sense of humour will also be an advantage!
